This idea has been swimming in my head for days.
I have been thinking of this young musician guy (I notice that I usually write about
musician guys, most of them
young) who is lying low from the rock music industry due to personal problems--a failed romantic relationship or two, conflict with his family, and maybe drug addiction or depression or something like that. He starts over by putting up a little Guitar Hospital, which succeeds. And then...?
I am thinking of turning the idea into a little romance novella, in preparation for this romance class starting in December (hopefully I could commit to it this time). Along with this idea, the song "Fixing A Broken Heart" has also been echoing in my head. Not that I'd name the novella after the song, but whether it'd be named after the song or not, the story will center on this: Can his broken heart be "fixed" like the guitars (and young aspiring musicians' dreams) he had repaired?
I could not decide who finally gets to be the peg for the young rock musician/guitar hospital owner. I am thinking of (blame my Alesana fix for this, seriously) either Shawn Milke--but I have used him as a peg for another character in yet another story--or Shane Crump. I feel more inclined to Shane, though, thanks to "
I'm A Mess," his song with his current band, The Ivory.

Whoever owns this scanned AP page--I couldn't locate you--thank you :) |
I hope more ideas on what happens next would come to me soon. If you have other ideas, feel free to share it to me, and who knows? We might be able to pull it off ;)
P.S. Can anybody just PLEASE explain to me why Shane is SO. F***ING. HOT???!!! <3
